Spring 2021: As is the case with most American opera companies, Virginia Opera has cancelled the entirety of its originally planned 2020-2021 season. As such, Eric will not be performing in his originally contracted roles of Monterone (Rigoletto), the Sergeant of Police (The Pirates of Penzance), Simone (Gianni Schicchi), and Bartolo (Le nozze di Figaro). VO has announced its reimagined Spring 2021, in which Eric will perform as Sam in Bernstein's Trouble in Tahiti (presented live with social-distancing measures in place) and Dr. Dulcamara in the John Davies children's opera Pinocchio.

He then returns for Central City Opera's postponed 2021 season, performing in Verdi's Rigoletto and Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel. He will sing the Count of Ceprano in CCO's family matinée performance of Rigoletto and will cover the role of Jigger in Carousel.

All lovers of opera and musical theater: Please stay safe and healthy and continue to follow CDC-recommended guidelines (wearing a face covering, maintaining social distance, and washing those hands!) so we can all get back to the theater soon! Much love to all!
